What we collect
The work email you sign in with, and what you tell us in the Exit Interview — the conversation about your stack: the tools, the seats, the spend, and the constraints you describe. The interview sits behind a sign-in link, so we know who you are before it starts.
Where you are
Our hosting reports the approximate city and timezone your connection comes from, and we keep that reading with your interview. It lets the interviewer assume your currency and your working hours instead of asking. It is inferred from your connection, not from you: it is wrong often enough — a VPN, an office network — that we never state it back to you, and it is never written into your Minutes — the written record of your interview.
How we use it
To produce your Exit Brief — the read of your stack, priced from public list prices — and, if you ask for one, your Exit Proposal, which puts a fixed price on an audit. We do not sell your data. Patterns across interviews may inform the research we publish, but only once they are aggregated across enough interviews that no client could be identified. While the firm is young and interviews are few, that bar is not met — so today, nothing derived from your interview is published.
How the AI processes it
The interview is run by large language models. Each turn — what you type or say — is sent to one, together with the record so far, to produce the reply, the Minutes, and your Brief. Every model is reached through a single broker, the Vercel AI Gateway; the models themselves currently come from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, and which providers we use can change as models improve — the route through the Gateway does not. What those providers do with traffic passing through their systems is governed by their own terms; what we do with what you tell us is governed by this page.
Your control
Ask us to delete anything you've submitted and we will. Any channel on the contact page reaches a person who can do it.
